Genuine Respect • Boundaries are sometimes clear before we begin our session. In other situations, we sort out nuances beforehand. Revealing one’s soul is a level of vulnerability that’s not easily given. I want her to love the experience and cherish the photos we’ve created. I respect each model’s limits, so if our styles don’t match, that’s fine. Everything falls into place when we establish a genuine connection and mutual trust. I take pride in being authentic, personable, and empathetic.

Heart & Courage • I love to experiment. Venturing into the unknown is always on the agenda. We learn faster that way. If a new approach doesn't work, we at least tried. When deciding what to do next, I contemplate, “What would a great photographer do in this situation?” With confidence, we enter uncharted territory. The tail end of a session usually produces the best results. By this time, we’re comfortable with each other. I don’t want to capture her physical beauty alone — it’s about opening her heart and soul.


Creative Collaboration • I plan sessions to minimize any set changes in our workflow. Sticking to a schedule is not always necessary because a spark of inspiration can dramatically change everything. Each photo shoot is a collaborative journey. Thinking ‘outside the box’ is welcomed with open arms. This is when we get to create magic.
